Therapy in Shorewood, Wisconsin

Meet Sydney, LPC

I’m an anxiety and trauma therapist that specializes in people-pleasing, perfectionism, and childhood trauma.

As a therapist, I approach my therapy sessions with consistent empathy and warmth because you deserve a space solely focused on you—free of judgment, always. My goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where your thoughts and feelings are welcomed and valued.

I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet you and your specific needs. While I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, my practice is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Brainspotting. These approaches help us explore your experiences on a deeper level, understand and gain insight into the core beliefs that have shaped your life, and empower you to move toward your goals and feel connected to your most authentic self.

Frequently asked questions

  • There are a variety of different reasons why people may engage in therapy. Many enter therapy when they are struggling and have negative symptoms that are impacting their life. Some turn to therapy to work on personal growth. Whatever you may be looking to explore further, therapy can be a valuable resource and active way to engage in self-care, healing, and prioritizing your well-being.

Through therapy techniques we can dive deeper into your personal experiences that have shaped you thus far and gain insights and understanding into current patterns in your life. By doing this, we can lessen current symptoms and begin making changes so you can start feeling better and live a joyful and authentic life!

  • Set up your free 15-minute consultation by sending an inquiry via the contact form on my contact page.

This allow us to get to know one another better and go over any administrative tasks before your first session.

Consultations are generally 15-20 minutes long and over the phone.

  • Individual & virtual therapy | $150 (per 50 minute session)

  • Made For This Counseling is an out-of-network practice and does not take insurance for a variety of different reasons. For instance, client privacy, and the rules and regulations insurance companies implement when it comes to mental health care coverage (ie. how many sessions are allowed, needed diagnosis, and dictated therapy styles of treatment that are allowed to be used).

Although, I can provide you with a superbill (an invoice) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. You can inquire about out-of-network mental health coverage with your insurance company.

  • Credit cards are stored securely on my electronic health records platform. The card on file will be charged after each session is completed. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. You have the option to change the card on file at any time.
